Jordan Gallagher (she/her) provides communications support to the Energy Futures Initiative (EFI) and the Labor Energy Partnership (LEP), a joint initiative of EFI and the AFL-CIO. Working collaboratively with the AFL-CIO communications team, she coordinates LEP product rollouts, outreach strategies, public events, and private workshops. She also served as a key member of the working group that developed the LEP website, launched in October 2021.
Most recently, Gallagher served as a Legislative Assistant at Greenberg Traurig, LLP in her hometown of Tallahassee, Florida, where she supported the Florida lobbying team across a breadth of policy areas. In this role, she monitored federal and state agencies, the Florida Legislature, and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners to produce regular reports on legislative and regulatory activity for lobbyists and clients.
In 2020, Gallagher earned a Masters of Public Policy (MPP) from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University, where she was awarded the Dean’s Tuition Scholarship in Public Policy and served as a Harold H. and Reba Martin Endowed Fellow. At Rutgers, she also co-led a student research team that explored opportunities to improve state workforce development policy for individuals with disabilities on behalf of the New Jersey Governor’s Office, culminating in a public report she co-authored. During this time, she also interned at the State of New Jersey Office of Clean Energy where she contributed to clean energy policy development for the state. In this role, she served on the team tasked with developing the Straw Proposal for New Jersey’s Energy Efficiency and Peak Demand Reduction Programs to implement statutorily mandated reductions in electric and natural gas usage, approved by the Board of Public Utilities in 2020.
A longtime resident of Buffalo, New York, Gallagher has additionally held positions at the City of Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency, the Land Conservancy of Western New York, and Ecology and Environment, Inc. She is a member of the Pi Alpha Alpha national honor society for students of public administration and holds a B.A. in Geography from the State University of New York College at Geneseo.
